...As Nasarawa state Government vows to partner  to harness Grassroots talent in the State

Gradually and quietly the Present board of the Nigeria Football Federation led by Ibrahim Gusau is attracting the needed support it truly deserves to meet the aspirations of football loving Nigerians.

With all the difficulties facing the country economically which the NFF is not isolated from ,  the Football House is still striving to pull through with impressive showings of some of the National teams.

The Nigeria Super Falcons  had a fantastic showing at the World cup in Australia and recently the Super Eagles ensured qualification to the  Nation's Cup in Ivory Coast next year. 

Even as the NFF is working on getting more corporate bodies'  involvement in its marketing drive , it is also making sure it's push for Government to Government partnership is fully maximised.

This was why recently the NFF secured a partnership with the akwa state Government on its commitment to the Super Eagles regarding all its upcoming World Cup qualifying matches.

That was a massive step by the Ibrahim Gusau led board in its quest to secure Nigeria qualification for the 2026 FIFA  World cup in U.S.A, Mexico and Canada.

The NFF President has now followed this with the recent commitment of the Nasarawa state Governor, Engineer Abdulahi Sule to partnering the NFF.

The Governor who visited the Football House of was full of praise for the NFF boss for his leadership style and qualities which he says was responsible for the good  outing Of the falcons at the World cup.

He said Nasarawa state is ready to be the next hub for grassroots talent development with the completion of the Lafia township stadium.

This according to the NFF President is a welcome news and he assured that his board will see how the country's various age grade teams like the National under 13, 15 and the Golden Eaglets can make the Lafia Stadium their new home.
