The Competitions Department of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has named FCT Area 3 Stadium as venue for the President Federation Cup quarter final clash involving Sunshine Stars of Akure and Kano Pillars otherwise tagged 'NPFL Derby', Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

The 'all NPFL clubs clash' is the major talking point of the 2024 President Federation Cup quarter finals fixtures billed to hold on Wednesday 5 June, 2024.

Remarkably, the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, has equally been confirmed as venue for three of the four quarter final matches.

El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri will similarly file out against Inter Lagos on same June 5 in Abuja but this time, the fixture has been scheduled for the Bwari Stadium just as the fixture involving Abia Warriors, another NPFL side, and NNL side, Sokoto Utd, who eliminated Enyimba in the Round of 16, will hold at the Goal Project, Abuja National Stadium.

The only quarter final match of the 2024 President Federation Cup match that will hold outside of the nation's capital territory is the fixture involving EFCC and Kebbi United. The Match has been billed to hold in Kano, ostensibly the Sani Abacha Stadium.

To reach the quarter finals stage, Sokoto United saw off glamour team of Nigeria football, Enyimba, 1-0 just as El-Kanemi Warriors edged Shooting Stars 1-0 in the Round of 16 fixtures.

Similarly, Sunshine Stars defeated Rivers Utd 1-0 in another gritty Round of 16 contest just as EFCC edged past Wikki Tourists 1-0 while Kano Pillars prevailed over Katsina Utd 8-7 on penalty kicks after a 1-1 regulation time scoreline.

Kebbi United ended Akwa United's second President Federation Cup title push with a 1-0 defeat.
