The leadership of Nigeria Football Coaches Association, NFCA, Oyo State chapter has felicitated and rejoiced with the Executive Chairman of Shooting Stars Sports Club, Honourable Babatunde Olaniyan David Akoro on his appointment as a member of the Nigeria Premier League Board.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Chairman of the Association in the state, Coach Akinola Olatunji describing Akoro's appointment as a well-deserved one noting that he is a rare gem with unquantifiable contributions to Nigerian football.

The release which made available to newsmen on Monday reads in part: "On behalf of the entire members and Executives of Nigeria Football Coaches Association, NFCA, Oyo State Chapter, I like to congratulate the Chairman, Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan, 3SC, Honourable Babatunde Olaniyan Akoro on his appointment into NPL Board. "His sincere dedication, commitmentand, and zeal to the development of football in Nigeria is a no mean feat. He was a former Premier League Referee with clean bill of health. He established Referee Academy in Oyo state with nany of them officiating at NPFL ,NNL, NWFL and other tiers of the league without collecting grant from any government"  Said Akinola Olatunji. 

"Recently, he supported female coaches who went to Abuja for CAF C course with financial aid and a lot of other philanthropical gesture to humanity."

"We strongly believe that he will bring his wealth of experience and expertise to bear and effect a desired change on the NPL Board."

The statement further hailed Hon. Olaniyan's leadership and achievements at Shooting Stars Sports Club, having returned fans into the club with iconic ambience at every match Day.

 "Since Honourable Babatunde Olaniyan Akoro assumed office, the club has achieved significant growth and success, and we are confident that he will replicate this success on the board of NPL "
