Police for Katsina State don arrest one young woman wey dem suspect say kill her husband just three days after their wedding for Jibia Local Government Area.

 

Police Public Relations Officer, Abubakar Aliyu, talk for one statement on Tuesday say dem find the man for him house for Tashar Buja community as he dey lie for ground inside blood. Dem rush am go hospital but doctor later confirm say he don die.

 

According to Aliyu, “On November 23, 2025, around 1:30 p.m., report reach Jibia Police Division say one Abdullahi (no be him real name), newly married man, dey inside him house for Tashar Buja quarters, Jibia LGA, as he no dey move again and blood full ground. Police detectives waka go the place sharp sharp and dem see say him get serious cut for neck. Dem carry am go hospital, but he no survive.”

 

He still add say the main suspect—wey be the wife of the deceased—dey police custody while investigation dey go on.

 

People for the community tell Vanguard say the man, wey dem know as Abubakar a.k.a. Dan Gaske, marry the suspect, Zainab Muhammad, on Thursday. But the matter come turn bad by Sunday afternoon.

 

Local gist talk say the woman allegedly attack her husband while him dey sleep. After the incident, she reportedly go neighbour house to ask for food, and na that one raise suspicion among the women for the area. Dem follow her go her house and na there dem see the groom as he no dey breathe again.

 

Family of the late Abubakar reject rumour say the marriage na by force or arranged matter, insist say the couple dey happy and dey in good terms before the wedding.
