Operatives of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) don arrest former two-term councillor for Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Council for Lagos State, Sheleru Sadiq Olalekan, over alleged involvement for selling and trafficking illegal drugs.

 

According to information wey NDLEA gather, the 45-year-old politician, wey dey currently work as legislative aide, don dey linked to illegal drug business for the Ibeju-Lekki area.

 

For statement wey NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi release on March 8, he talk say operatives arrest the suspect on Monday, March 2, 2026, during operation for him house for Ilado, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos.

 

Babafemi explain say after the arrest, NDLEA officers search the house well-well and dem discover plenty illegal substances wey dem hide inside the building.

 

During the search, officers recover about 40 kilograms of skunk, one strong type of cannabis, wey dem store for one room inside the house. Some of the substances dey also hidden inside baby diapers, wey investigators believe say na attempt to avoid detection.
