The 22nd edition of the National Sports Festival, originally set to be hosted in Ogun State, will now take place from January 12th to 25th, 2025. This decision was finalized at the recently concluded National Council of Sports meeting held in Enugu.

The council reached a consensus to reschedule the event to January 2025 primarily due to logistical reasons. The adjustment aims to ensure the festival is organized efficiently and runs smoothly, providing an optimal experience for all participants and attendees.

This festival is a cornerstone event in Nigeria's sporting calendar, fostering unity and showcasing athletic talent from across the country. Athletes from various states will compete in a wide range of sports, bringing together the nation's best in a celebration of sportsmanship and competition.
