Mohammed Mohammed, Assistant Coach of El-Kanemi Warriors could not hide his joy after his side picked a valuable point against Heartland in Wednesday's NPFLatchday 26 fixture at Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri, exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

Mohammed, a former Nigeria international, told reporters that he was excited with the outcome of the match, which he noted, was a 'pay back' to the Naze Millionaires following a similar result in Maiduguri in the first round clash.

"I Feel great. I'm so, so excited because I know what transpired at home (in Maiduguri)", Mohammed began without disclosing what transpired in the first leg match.

"It was a match we never thought we could drop points. But then, it ended in a draw. It's a pay back time. And I told the boys that this game is a pay back time.

"They came to us and picked a point when we never expected. So I told my players that, okay, don't worry, if we come back in the second stanza, it's going to be a different ball game. And we did it today. I really give kudos to the players. I'm very, very excited".

Mohammed was pained that his team lost several scoring chances during the game.

"That's football. Sometimes it happens like that. Yes, we lost a lot of chances. In every match, they say El-Kanemi play better but the goals don't just reflect in the way we play.

"But always tell the players to keep on working. Sometimes they feel somehow down and I would say, no, let's pick it up, don't worry, don't lose hope.

"We've been scoring anyway. We're the (FA Cup) champions last year. Let's keep scoring; scoring is in our blood; keep scoring guys, keep working hard. And at the end, we achieved result".

El-Kanemi Warriors are 9th on the log with 37 points heading into this weekend's matchday 27 home tie against Lobi Stars.
