A political economist Professor Pat has disclosed  that a mega party is on way to dislodge the APC in 2027.

The don said the three prominent presidential candidates—Atiku of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Obi of the Labour Party (LP), and Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP)—have  decided to unite and  form a potent political alliance that will ensure that the APC does not return to power in the next general election.

According to him, the aim is to challenge and displace the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming 2027 elections. He highlighted the urgency of this collaboration, stating, “It’s a really clean start. Nigeria has not had a genuine political party since 1999. What we have are platforms for machine politics, often resulting in state capture. If you assess the quality of life in Nigeria since 1999, it’s evident that the current system has failed to improve it.”
Conversely, Nigeria has regressed. We haven’t organized structures for political participation that prioritize the people and uplift their lives.”
Addressing inquiries about potential presidential candidates for the newly formed alliance, Utomi clarified, “No, we’re not discussing candidates at this point. We’re focused on defining the party’s values, policies, and a national strategy" he concluded.
