An Architect,  Matthew Stephen Kolo has emerged the best nett champion of the 2024 Dr. Banjo Obaleye Captain's Cup tournament held at the IBB International Golf and Country Club, Abuja. 

Matthew Kolo who plays off handicap 18, netted 66 on countback after grossed 84 to defeat other 200 participants to win the club's most converted trophy.

" I picked up golf three to four years ago, and gradually developing since then. 
I have won trophies basically within kitty in the club but this is the first major trophy for me.
Am exited though challenged to do more, to work harder, improve on my game and see where it will take me to", Matthew Stephen Kolo assures.

A.A. Agib won the Best Gross Men with 71 scores as Olalere Olakunle emerged runner up while Grace Agbo and Farida Wada led the best gross women.

In Men Pros trophies, Andrew Odoh beat Godwin Okoko to the Runner Up nett while Police Officer Racheal Danjuma won the Ladies Pros trophies as Amina Wilfred occupied the runner up nett.

Tunde Ogundare wins Guest trophies men  while Rose Nyam wins Guest trophies Lady

An excited Outgoing Captain,  Dr Banjo Obaleye praised the planning committee  for organizing a befitting and memorable event for him and the club. He charged the members to involve youth development plan in the activities of the Club in order to help Nigerian young  talents to achieve their desired goals and objectives. 
While Congratulating Matthew Stephen Kolo for emerging the overall winner, Banjo Obaleye eulogies his determination and zeal, especially when he just started playing golf few years ago.

Winners in different categories went home with different trophies while also sponsors and guests received Commendations.
