Popular Nollywood actress, Fathia Williams, has opened up about her personal struggles in marriage, revealing that despite her success in the film industry, she has not been fortunate in her relationships.

 

The actress, who was previously married to fellow actor Saidi Balogun, said her dream had always been to build a happy home, but life took a different turn as both her marriages ended unsuccessfully.

 

Speaking candidly, Fathia described the collapse of her marriage as one of the most difficult moments of her life.

 

“I’ve gone through a lot of downs, but the biggest one that took me off my feet was when my marriage crashed,” she said.

 

Reflecting on her experiences, she noted that while she had envisioned a glamorous wedding and a stable family life while growing up, things did not go as planned.

 

“Everything in life is about luck. When I was growing up, the first thing that came to my mind was to have a glamorous wedding. I had plans for my future, but if you go into one marriage and it didn’t work, and you go into the second and it didn’t work, that means marriage luck is not by your side,” she added.

 

The actress, however, declined to place blame on anyone, acknowledging that both partners in her past relationships had their shortcomings.

 

“I don’t want to fault anybody because I have my own faults and they have their own faults. For my own faults, I adjusted myself, my lifestyle and everything around me,” she explained.

 

Despite the setbacks, Fathia remains hopeful about the future, expressing optimism that she may find lasting happiness in marriage someday.

 

“Maybe some other time, I would be lucky,” she said.
