Marriage is not a do or die affair- Yul Edochie
Veteran Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has sparked conversation with his recent comments on marriage and divorce. In an interview with White Pearl Studios, Edochie emphasized prioritizing individual happiness in marital decisions.
"Marriage is not a do or die affair," Edochie stated. "If a union isn't working, walk away respectfully. There's no need for animosity." He went on to suggest that remarriage is an option, as long as it fosters happiness: "See another person who complements you? Marry. If that bond dissolves, move on." Edochie emphasized, however, that societal pressure shouldn't dictate marital choices: "Focus on what works for you, not public perception."
Edochie's comments come amidst his ongoing divorce proceedings with his first wife, May Edochie, following his marriage to Judy Austin. May Edochie reportedly filed for divorce, citing disapproval of the second marriage. The legal situation remains unresolved.
