A dramatic incident unfolded Lagos after a man reportedly attempted to jump into the sea upon allegedly discovering that his wife was cheating on him during a live video call.
According to eyewitness accounts, the visibly distressed man rushed toward the waterfront in what appeared to be an attempt to take his own life. Fortunately, people nearby quickly intervened and prevented him from jumping into the water.

Despite being rescued in time, the man was reportedly met with harsh reactions from some bystanders, who scolded and physically assaulted him while questioning his decision to risk his life over a relationship issue.

In a viral video circulating online, a voice in the background could be heard going hard on the emotional man and describing him as foolish for attempting suicide because of a woman.

“Because of a woman you want to kill yourself? You want to jump inside the river? This one is mad. If you die, life will move on. He wants to kill himself because they are presently sleeping with his wife. I have never seen this kind of thing before — this guy is mad,” the person said in the video.
However, amid the chaos, a security officer was seen stepping in to calm the man and offer support. The officer was observed consoling him and helping him regain composure as he appeared deeply shaken and emotionally overwhelmed by the situation.
