Lobi Stars Show Resilience in 1-1 Draw Against Sunshine Stars

Lobi Stars demonstrated unwavering determination in their Nigeria Premier Football League matchday 32 encounter against Sunshine Stars of Akure, settling for a 1-1 draw at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.
The visitors took the lead in the 9th minute through Ahmadu Liman's composed close-range finish. Lobi Stars responded with attacking intent, dominating possession and forcing several set-piece situations. Although they were awarded a penalty in the 27th minute, Onyekachi's spot-kick was saved by the goalkeeper.
In the second half, Coach Tony Bolus introduced Alex Oche, who made an impact in the 55th minute. Johnmark Aule calmly slotted home from close range after a well-timed pass from Onyekachi, bringing Lobi Stars back on level terms.
Despite dominating play, Lobi Stars were unable to convert further chances and were reduced to 10 men when goalkeeper Itodo Akor was shown a red card for allegedly handling the ball outside the area. The points were shared at full-time, leaving Lobi Stars slightly frustrated given their overall performance.
Coach Tony Bolus expressed confidence in his squad's performance and assured supporters that the team remains focused on retaining its top-flight status. Lobi Stars will next face Remo Stars in a rescheduled matchday 30 clash midweek at the same venue in Enugu.
