Kano State Police Command don catch one notorious drug dealer and five suspected thugs during one security operation for Jaoji Quarters inside Kano metropolis.

 

Police Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Haruna, yarn this one for statement wey dem release on Monday. E describe the arrest as big breakthrough for the fight against drug business and other criminal activities for the state.

 

According to Haruna, police officers from Jaoji Police Division carry out the operation on January 10, and na so dem arrest one 25-year-old man, Hafizu Ali, wey dem suspect say na drug dealer, together with five other suspected thugs.

 

“The Kano State Police Command don make another big breakthrough for our effort to stop drug trafficking and related crimes,” Haruna talk. “We arrest one suspected drug dealer, Hafizu Ali, age 25, from Jaoji Quarters, and five suspected thugs. We also recover different kinds of illegal drugs and dangerous weapons.”

 

Haruna explain say the operation happen under the directive of the Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, following instruction from the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, make all commands increase strategic crime prevention to break criminal networks and protect lives and property.

 

From the suspected drug dealer, police recover 2,070 capsules of suspected Pregabalin and 23 wraps of suspected Cannabis Sativa.

 

Weapons wey police recover from the suspected thugs include four knives, two scissors and one axe.

 

The Commissioner of Police praise the officers wey carry out the operation for their professionalism and dedication to duty. E also thank people of Kano State for their support and cooperation with the police.

 

Haruna add say police go charge all the suspects to court as soon as investigation finish.
