Judith Chime Football Championship Set To Ignite Enugu On December 13
The city of Enugu is gearing up for a football extravaganza as the second edition of the Judith Chime Football Championship (JCC) kicks off on 13 December 2025, featuring over 20 teams from across Nigeria.
As hosts, Enugu State will parade six formidable sides: JC Ladies, Rangers Women, Green Foot FC, Nsukka LG Female, Alexander Queens, and Immaculate Queens.
They will be joined by strong contenders from Anambra State, including De Powerful Eaglets, Rising Stars Queens, Dynamite Angels, Awka Angels and Little Birds.
Edo State will field Spunky Blazers, Benin Red Soil, Fortress Ladies, and Bravehearts FC, while Abia State arrives with Extra Cool FC, C2E Sports Academy, and Giant Empress.
From Akwa Ibom State, fans will see Elegant Angels and Solo Wonders, as Bayelsa State sends in Bayelsa Sports Council and Golden Sun Sports Club.
Imo State will be represented by Dubem Babes and Heartland Queens Feeders, with additional participants including Moje Queens (Kwara), Jagunmolu (Ogun), Osklean (Rivers), Salt Jewel (Ebonyi), Royal Queens (Delta), and UYPG FC (Benue).
Speaking from her base in Atlanta, USA, founder and sole financier of the tournament, Judith Chime, said preparations are in full swing for what promises to be an unforgettable spectacle.
The former Super Falcons goalkeeper expressed excitement for the upcoming showdown, declaring that this edition would be “a royal rumble where every team steps onto the pitch with fire in their hearts and lightning in their feet.”
Chime emphasized the unifying power of the competition, noting that the JCC brings together elite squads from across the region, all driven by a hunger for victory and a desire to showcase their talent.
In her words, “It is more than a tournament; it’s a showcase of Enugu’s passion for the beautiful game.”
Football fans across the country now eagerly await 13 December, when the whistle will officially signal the start of a championship destined to light up Enugu like never before.
