The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) don announce say dem don arrest 27 people wey try impersonate for di ongoing Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

 

According to JAMB, dem don hand over di 27 impersonators to di Nigerian Police to make dem face quick prosecution.

 

JAMB also yan say dem don delist four Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres wey no meet up with di high technical standard wey dem require for di UTME exams.

 

Di centres wey dem delist na:

• Adventure Associate, Behind Sheshe Supermarket, Off Hadejia Road, Kano, Kano State

• Saadatu Rimi College of Education, Zaria Road, Naibawa, Kano, Kano State

• Penta M & F Technical Services Ltd, Centre 1, 96km Sokoto-Jega Road, Tambuwal

• Penta M & F Technical Services Ltd, Centre 2, 96km Sokoto-Jega Road, Tambuwal.

 

For one statement wey JAMB spokesman, Fabian Benjamin, release on Friday, di board talk say, “While we dey commend di 883 centres wey perform well, we dey warn say any centre wey fail for technical or ethical standard — no matter who own am — go chop blacklist straight.”

 

Dem come beg candidates wey dem bin schedule to write exam for those delisted centres make dem quickly reprint their examination notification slip, so dem go see their new centre and new exam date.

 

JAMB add say, “We sorry for any wahala wey this rearrangement fit cause, but we no go accept any excuse from candidates wey no reprint their slip to know new arrangement.”

 

Di board still reveal say, “As of Friday, 25th April, 2025, over 900,000 candidates don successfully write their UTME out of di total 2,083,600 wey register for this year exam.”

 

Meanwhile, JAMB talk say dem don hear about di wahala for Caleb University Centre, where dem dey restrict candidates wey wear hijab.

 

JAMB talk say dem act sharp sharp to correct di mistake, and di Vice-Chancellor of di university don condemn di overzealous action of di security officer wey cause di gbege.

 

“We apologise to all di candidates wey suffer for that incident and we thank di centre and university oga dem for quick intervention to make sure say no candidate suffer undue disadvantage,” JAMB yarn.
