The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed that the Super Eagles will take on Venezuela and Colombia in a pair of high-profile international friendlies scheduled for November 2025 in the United States of America.

 

According to NFF’s FIFA Match Agent, Jairo Pachon of Eurodata Sport, the matches fall within the FIFA international window and are part of ongoing preparations for upcoming major competitions, including the final rounds of 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

 

The Super Eagles will first clash with Venezuela on Friday, 14th November 2025 at the Shell Stadium in Houston, Texas, with kick-off set for 8:00 PM Texas time.

 

Four days later, on Tuesday, 18th November 2025, Nigeria will face off against Colombia’s Los Cafeteros at the Citi Field Stadium in Flushing Meadows, Queens, New York. Kick-off is scheduled for 8:00 PM Eastern Time (which corresponds to 1:00 AM on Wednesday, 19th November in Nigeria).

 

The upcoming matches mark Nigeria’s return to the United States following their 2022 tour, where the Super Eagles narrowly lost to Mexico (2-1) in Dallas, with Cyriel Dessers scoring Nigeria’s lone goal. That fixture also marked the debut of Coach José Peseiro at the helm of the team. Nigeria later fell 1-0 to Ecuador in another friendly held in New Jersey.

 

The November friendlies offer the Super Eagles a valuable opportunity to test their strength against top South American opposition as they fine-tune their squad and tactics ahead of crucial international fixtures in 2026.
