Operatives of the Ondo State Police Command don arrest six people wey dem suspect say dem dey run fake miracle scam for Idanre area of Ondo State.

 

Police talk say the arrest happen during special operation wey their tactical team carry out together with Community Safety Officers after dem receive correct intelligence about the group activities.

According to police investigation, the suspects dey disguise as clerics, dey organise fake healing and deliverance programmes just to gain people trust.

 

Dem allegedly dey target people wey get money problem, sickness or personal wahala, promise dem spiritual solution and miracle, then collect money from dem under false pretence.

 

Police name the arrested suspects as Fadahunsi, Kolade, Tijani, Iyanuoluwa, Arijesulola and Ademola.

 

Authorities say the group dey operate like organised ring, with each person get specific role to make everything look real during their fake miracle sessions.

Police say dem still dey investigate to know how far the fraud go, identify more victims and track other members of the syndicate wey still dey outside.

 

Spokesperson of the command, Abayomi Jimoh, say once investigation finish, dem go charge the suspects to court.

 

He also advise members of the public make dem shine their eyes well well and no allow anybody use religion or spiritual claims take scam dem. He encourage residents make dem report any suspicious activity to security agencies immediately.
