The Organizing Committee of the Indigenous Oil and Gas Summit has announced the indefinite postponement of the event initially scheduled to take place in Lagos on July 23 and 24, 2025.

In an official statement released on Monday, the committee cited logistical concerns and other planning challenges as reasons for the decision, emphasizing the need to ensure a smooth and impactful experience for all participants.

“After careful consideration of current circumstances that may affect the overall planning and execution of the summit, we have made the difficult decision to postpone,” the statement read. “Our priority remains delivering a world-class platform that promotes excellence, inclusion, and the advancement of indigenous participation in the oil and gas sector.”

The organizers apologized for any inconvenience caused and expressed appreciation for the continued support and understanding of partners, stakeholders, and registered participants.

A new date will be announced in due course. The committee also assured that all commitments to participants and partners remain intact and will be honored once the summit is rescheduled.
