Newly Orisakwe, Imo Strikers Coach and the only female gaffer in the ongoing Ifeanyi Chiejine Memorial Cup Championship holding here in Asaba, has revealed that her team's goal scoring form is a product of hard work and tactics, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

Orisakwe spoke moments after her rampant damsels whitewashed Green Foot FC, Enugu, 3-0 in their second match of the Championship on Tuesday afternoon at St Patrick's College field, Asaba.

Imo Strikers left it late, pumping in three goals in precisely within seven minutes of extraordinary counter attacking football rendition.

After an uneventful first half, where they created virtually nothing and came close twice from falling behind, Orisakwe maximised the half time pep to rein on her players that they were indeed short of their quality and potential, forcing the girls to put the ball down, be patient with their play and ensure they fashioned out and converted their chances.

They responded in emphatic fashion, scoring thrice within a space of seven minutes all from counter attacks, much to the delight of their coach.

"I'm pleased with victory. I'm also delighted with the players response to our plan", Coach Orisakwe told Exclusivenews.com.ng before hugging her players one after the other.

She spoke on her team's scoring form, having scored seven goals in two games.

"It's all about hard work, it's all about how we always want to play as a team. And when you play together as a team, players always working for each other, success, in this case, goals will always come", she said.

The championship is billed to climax on 17 December and Orisakwe says her eyes are not far away from the podium.

"Everyone going into a competition will always have the ambition to win. My own expectation or target isn't different but we take it one game at a time", she said softly.

After a hattrick feat in their Oriental 4-0 triumph over Awka Angels on Monday, Chidi Harmony fetched a brace in the 3-0 comprehensive win over Green Foot.

She's now scored an incredibly amazing five goals in two games to unassailably lead the top scorers chart with five goals.

Oscar Precious scored in between Harmony's brace to hand the Arugo Girls a comfortable 3-0 win.
