Imo Governor Donates Coaster Buses to Heartland FC and Heartland Queens
Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, has fulfilled his promise to support state-owned football teams by donating vehicles to both Heartland FC and Heartland Queens.
During a presentation ceremony on Saturday, Governor Uzodinma handed over a Coaster bus and a Splinter bus to Heartland FC, with the keys received by the club’s Technical Manager, Emmanuel Amuneke, in the presence of the Commissioner for Sports, Obinna Onyeocha.
Similarly, Heartland Queens Football Club received a new Coaster bus to bolster their preparations for the upcoming 2024/2025 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premier League season.
Speaking on behalf of the teams, Commissioner Onyeocha expressed gratitude for the governor’s continued support, describing the gesture as morale-boosting.
“This remarkable gesture has uplifted the morale of both teams. With this renewed support, we are confident that Heartland Queens and Heartland FC will excel and bring trophies home,” Onyeocha stated.
The donation underscores Governor Uzodinma’s commitment to sports development in the state and to ensuring both teams have the resources to perform at their best in their respective leagues.
