Chikelue Iloenyosi, a former Super Eagles defender and current Chairman of Anambra State Football Association will be the 'Special Guest of Honour' when the Nigeria Premier Footballeague, NPFL, holds its Annual General Meeting and draws for the 2025/2026 season draws at the Wazobia,Hall of the Abuja Continental Hotel, Monday, 28 July, 2025, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

This was contained in an official invitation sent to the former Iwuanyanwu Natiinale defender and dated 22 July, 2025.

Exclusivenews.com.ng reports that the invitation was signed by Danlami Ibrahim, Secretary to the NPFL Board and Legal Adviser.

It recalled Iloenyosi's contributions to Football and reasoned that his presence will significantly reinforce the board's commitment to the development of the domestic football league.

"As a distinguished personality and ex-international whose contributions to Football and national development are widely respected, your presence will significantly enhance the prestige and purpose of this important Football engagement", the invitation letter reads in part

"Your presence will serve as inspiration to the Football community and reinforce our shared commitment to elevating the standards of professional football in Nigeria", it added.

When contacted, Iloenyosi confirmed receipt of the invitation and heaped plaudits on the leadership of the NPFL for finding him worthy of such exalted honour.

"I've just received the invitation and I must thank the NPFL headed by Hon Gbenga Elegbeleye for the honour the league body has bestowed on me with this invitation", Iloenyosi, a former Iwuanyanwu Nationale of Owerri defender responded to Exclusivenews.com.ngn.
