Professor Polly Emenike, Odenigbo Nanka and Chief Executive Officer of Neros Pharmaceuticals Limited, has received huge praises from no less a personality than the Chairman of Anambra State Football Association, 'General' Chikelue Iloyoenyosi, following the business moguls sustained investment in football development, promotion and sponsorship in the state, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

Iloenyosi, a former Super Eagles and U23 Olympic Eagles defender, spoke during Monday's final match of the milestone Nanka Champions League at the Neros Stadium, Nanka.

Iloenyosi noted that sponsoring a tournament for 40 years now was not an easy task, stressing it was a clear manifestation of shrewd love and passion for the game.

"It is a thing of joy that we're gathered here today to witness this year's final of Nanka Champions League. But we must give kudos to the man who made it possible, keeping the competition on for 40 years now and still counting.

"It shows love and passion for the game of football and we, at the Anambra State Football Association, are happy and have our arms open for closer working relationship.

"It's competitions like this that are really grassroot oriented which is the policy trust of the present Anambra FA.

"Happily, 'our football father', Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, the NFF President is physically here and seen everything for himself. I'm sure he will have a lot of take aways from here to Abuja and once again, I say kudos to the sponsor and organisers of this competition".

Asides bankrolling Nanka Champions League, Professor Emenike is also the sole sponsor of Anambra State FA Cup competition since 2007.
