Nigeria representatives in the 2025 Vareggio U18s Football Tournament currently in Italy, Ijele FC, defeated Internacionale U18 3-2 to seal their place in the knock out stage of the tournament, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian youngsters who eased past Perugia 5-1 I their opening fixture before going down 0-1 to Genoa U18s in their group second game, topped their group with six points.

Ibbe David opened the scoring for the Nigeria Ambassadors while Falana James got the second before Ifesinachi Sunday scored what later proved to be the match winner after the first half of the game had ended on a scoreless note.

Their knock stage opponents will emerge after the conclusion of the other group games.

Ijele FC was founded just last month and has continued to make giant strides in the game.
