But he remains shrewdly optimistic that winning the President Federation Cup this time around will be a sweet moment for the club at the end of the season.
"Yeah, it hasn't been an easy campaign for us this season. But I believe the players. I believe my teammates too. I believe in them and what they can do
n this Federation Cup Round of 16 game against Abakaliki.
"Trust me, it's gonna be a winning game for us. I just wish them well and hope they come back victorious. We're going for the Cup and nothing but the Cup".
The striker eulogised his Enyimba hierarchy for standing by him during his period of injury and surgery.
"I Feel very good. I'm happy recovering fast and strong from the surgery I had as a result of the injury. It's all thanks to the management of the team, the Chairman, the Team Manager and the entire team.
"They have shown me unwavering love and support during the surgery and I really appreciate them for that. In no distant time, I'll be back. I've been out since the last one month.
"I feel sad but I believe it's all for the best. I believe that in no distant time, I mean soonest, I'll be back stronger".
