Chairman of the Ibadan Football Council (IFC), Barrister Rotimi Alli (Esq), has extended heartfelt congratulations to Adeyemi Football Club of Ibadan following their impressive qualification for the 2024/25 Nationwide League One (NLO) promotion playoffs at the Iseyin centre in Oyo State.

 

In what was their debut season in the NLO, Adeyemi FC emerged as one of the standout teams, securing the coveted playoff ticket with an unbeaten run — recording five wins and three draws to finish with 18 points, edging past Cornerstone FC.

 

Barrister Rotimi Alli, who is also a board member of the Oyo State Football Association, praised the team’s resilience and outstanding display of teamwork, noting that their success reflects their commitment to excellence both on and off the pitch.

 

“For a team that struggled through the rigour-filled IFC qualifiers, and rose to win the highly coveted trophy in Ibadanland, your latest achievement has proven beyond all doubts that your victory in the IFC League was no fluke,” he said. “You have made the Council proud and made yourselves worthy ambassadors of the Council and the Ibadan football fraternity.”

 

He lauded the players, coaching staff, and supporters of Adeyemi FC for their unwavering dedication and urged them to keep the momentum going as they head into the next phase of competition.

 

“Your tireless efforts on the pitch, coupled with the guidance of your coaching staff and the support of your fans, have paid off in the most wonderful way. You’ve earned your spot in the playoffs, and now it’s time to take it to the next level,” he added.

 

As the team gears up for the playoffs, Barrister Alli expressed confidence in their ability to rise to the occasion and wished them a successful outing, while praying for continued progress and achievements in their football journey.
