“I Have Always Been Enough” — Tiwa Savage Reflects on Self-Love After Solo Vacation

Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage has opened up about a transformative start to her 2025, sharing her experience of embarking on her first solo vacation to the Maldives. In a heartfelt post, the singer revealed how the trip helped her embrace self-love, deepen her faith, and gain clarity on her life’s blessings.

“My first assignment for 2025 was to go on vacation for at least a week by myself. I had never even been to a restaurant or the movies alone, let alone an entire vacation,” Tiwa admitted, expressing how nervous she felt about the journey. Despite her initial fears, she packed her bags with essentials, including her Bible, audio books, kaftans, bikinis, and a selfie stick, and set out on what she described as “the most beautiful experience EVER.”

The singer shared how her time alone allowed her to reflect, pray, and reconnect with her faith. “I started listening to my audio books, reading the Word, and thanking God for the grace over my life. At some point, I cried, thinking about how much time I’ve wasted on people and things that distracted me and made me feel insecure.”

Tiwa revealed that the solitude helped her discover a deeper appreciation for herself and her life. “I started falling in love with myself—my personality, my humor, my quirks, my skin, my hair, my everything. I realized there is really nothing to change. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN ENOUGH.”

The award-winning artist, who spent her days swimming, reading, and enjoying great food, was later joined by her son as part of a promise to create more shared experiences with him. “I am so blessed—with my beautiful family, an incredible career, an amazing relationship, and the most amazing friends,” she reflected.

Fans and followers have praised Tiwa for her honesty and vulnerability, with many calling her story an inspiring reminder of the importance of self-love, gratitude, and taking time to recharge.
