IT'S no longer news that the Ibadan Bar FC of Nigerian Bar Association defeated the highly-rated  and enterprising Bwari Bar FC to win the coveted 2024 NBA football tournament in an explosive final match Onikan waterfront Stadium, Lagos. 

But what is significant was the role of Ibadan Football Council  (IFC) in helping the Bar  achieve this tall dream. 

Right from the start, IFC boss , Mogaji Rotimi Alli who also is a member of the Ibadan Bar got involved in the preparation of the team for the tournament .
With a definite resolve that the trophy must come to Ibadan,he kept to this mantra religiously.

The soccer loving Lawyer popularly known as "Libero" who is passionate about developing football across all sectors in ibadanland  provided the necessary technical, financial and moral support to the team. 

First , he offered the Olubadan Stadium pitch to the Ibadan lawyers' team for training prior to the Competition.

This was to get them acquainted with the kind of pitch to meet at Onikan Stadium,Lagos.

Libero also made sure that he was present at all the matches of the Team shuttling between Ibadan and Lagos on match days! 

Whenever the team was not playing, he was in constant touch on phone with the players and officials in their Lagos camp to minister to their needs and also keep them in high spirits 

As if that was not enough,he donated the sum of #100,000 naira ( One hundred thousand naira) to kick-start the morale of the players

To the finals,the memory would linger for a long time in the minds of members of Ibadan Bar, most especially, the IFC Chairman, Mogaji Rotimi Alli .

While at the Onikan waterfront Stadium, he lifted the team's spirit with words of encouragement . 

To cap an evening of excitement and victory,  Soji Oduntan, SOJ, a lawyer from Ibadan Bar, whose bespoke lone strike from 40 yards gifted the trophy to his team.
And incidentally, SOJ is a member of Adewale SC, one of the traditional teams taking part in Rotimi Alli's IFC LEAGUE. 

In another development, the Ibadan branch of the EFCC football team lost by a narrow 0-1 margin in the Semi -Finale to Customs Football Team.

The EFCC team was one of the teams that enjoyed Mogaji Rotimi Alli's large heart to accommodate all with a view  to developing the 
beautiful game in the city. 

The Ibadan EFCC team was training at the Olubadan Stadium before going for their matches under the tutelage of one of IFC team Coaches,Coach Onigbinde.

EFCC is taking part in the Armed Forces and Para military Games only to lose in the Semi -Final to the Customs 

However,the team will now feature in the third place match later.
