Heartland Queens tactical defender Ekezie Onyedikachi has made the NWFL matchday one team of the week list and also given man of the match award against Royal Queens of Warri. 

Onyedikachi was named in the first eleven defence line along side 11 others from various clubs who also hard exceptional performances in their various games. 

Heartland Queens put up a solid defense line against Royal Queens which resulted to a clean sheet after netting 4 goals against the visitors. 

Goals from Kalu Onyinyechi, Chidinma Anaele, own goal from Gift Afigbedefi and Gift Chinedu was all that was needed to outclass the Warri side. 

The defense line on Chinyere Iheoma, Ekezie Onyedikachi, Captain Kate Apkata and Kelechi Orgii and defensive midfielder Chidinma Anaele and safe hands of Uche mounting the sticks proved to be too much for the warri side. 

Onyedikachi was tactically dogged in the defense line, as she on several occasions intercepted the attacks of Royal Queens and then glide through the opponents midfielders of Royal Queens as she transit’s from defense to attack. 

She had 30 completed passes and seven interceptions of dangerous attacks. 

Onyedikchi stands out as our man of the match against Royal Queens and has made the NWFL match day 1 team of the week courtesy of NWFL Awards.
