Haruna Usman Ilerika is the present National U.15 coach. Before now, he was the Assistant Coach to National U. 17 team.

Usman attend NEPA Primary school, Kanji where he obtained his First Leaving Certificate, then to Osi Central Secondary school for his Senior Secondary school Certificate. He was at the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, where he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political science, and at the National Open University of Nigeria for a Masters Degree in Public Administration.

Professionally, Ilerika was at the National Institute For Sports Lagos for a Diploma course in Football coaching. He is a CAF B and C  licensed Coach, and was at Zeist Netherland for a Coaching Certificate.

As a coach, Usman has won both the gold and silver medals at African Youth in Botswana and Algeria respectively. He also won the WAFU U17 gold medal with the National U17 team, and a third place medal at the Japan U. 16 Invitational Tournament. He promoted the defunct FCDA Football Club from the Amateur League to the Professional cadre of the Nigeria Football League.

Before venturing into the Coaching Profession, Usman Haruna Ilerika played for all the schools he attended at various age categories, winning various laurels. He played for Kanji NEPA, ABU Workers of Zaria, NYSC Strikers of Abuja, FCDA, Abuja and NEPA Football Club.

He has held various positions of responsibilities as a professional coach and in the public service.
