The President of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Gusau has commended the efforts of the Board of the Nigeria Women Football League headed by Nkechi Obi. 

The NFF Boss who has expressed keen interest in the league’s development and remained impressed with the strides made in the repositioning of the Women’s League within a short span of time, by the current board of the NWFL, led by Ms. Nkechi Obi.

The 2023/2024 Nigeria Women’s Football League which will begin its Premiership regular season on Tuesday with an opener between Ekiti Queens and Delta Queens in Ado Ekiti.

The match which was originally scheduled for Wednesday, with the  Star Match of the opening Matchday One fixtures  played at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ado Ekiti.

The decision to move the earlier date was to ensure that key stakeholders, fans, and the football community at large joined in this celebration of women’s football excellence.
