The Guild of Medical Directors recently expressed solidarity with Dr. Christopher Otabor, Managing Director of Alliance Hospital, commending his efforts to combat medical tourism in Nigeria. Led by Dr. Kingsley Iseko, Chairman of the FCT chapter, the delegation lauded Alliance Hospital for its commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare services that have become a viable alternative for many Nigerians who previously sought medical treatment abroad.

Dr. Iseko emphasized the pivotal role of Alliance Hospital in reducing the reliance on foreign medical services, affirming the guild's unwavering support for the hospital's initiatives aimed at saving lives and improving healthcare outcomes within the country.

In response, Dr. Christopher Otabor underscored the economic implications of medical tourism and its contribution to brain drain in Nigeria. He stressed the urgent need for increased government investment in hospital infrastructure, adequate equipment, and measures to address security challenges in order to reverse these detrimental trends.

During the visit, Dr. Otabor was also honored with an Integrity Ambassadorial Award by the Nigerian Patriotic Youths Against Corruption and Transparency Initiative. Ochekwu Ocheche, the group's leader, commended Dr. Otabor for his dedication to providing exceptional healthcare services within Nigeria and presented him with the prestigious award as a testament to his exemplary leadership and commitment to national development.

The event culminated in the presentation of the Integrity Ambassadorial Award to Dr. Otabor, symbolizing the recognition of his outstanding contributions to the healthcare sector and his unwavering commitment to excellence and integrity in medical practice.
