Wetin suppose be happy day don turn to sad one as bride allegedly poison food wey dem serve for her wedding reception for Jahun Local Government Area of Jigawa State.

Reports talk say di groom dey critically sick, and one wedding guest don die after dem chop di poisoned food. Eyewitness say di bride fit do am because of personal grudge.

State Police Public Relations Officer, Shi’isu Adam, confirm di tori when e talk to newsmen on Friday. E say police don start investigation.

“We hear say di bride put something for di food wey dem serve for di reception, and di groom dey hospital now,” Adam tok.

E add say dem don arrest two suspects: di bride and one other woman. Both of dem dey CID custody, and police dey question dem.

Adam assure say di police go make sure justice dey served. “All di people wey chop di food don leave hospital except one person wey die,” e talk.

Di police say dem dey investigate di matter well well and go release more details later. But for now, dem urge people make dem calm down as dem dey work to find di truth.

Di names of di dead person, di groom, and di other victims never dey public for now.
