Gov Otti Unveil Big Projects, Promise Jobs & Scholarships for First-Class Graduates for ABSU
Governor Alex Otti don announce major developments and fresh opportunities for students as he visit Abia State University, where he commission projects and launch new initiatives.
According to the governor, him receive warm welcome from plenty students as he unveil projects wey go shape the future of the institution and surrounding communities.
Among the projects wey dem commission include refurbished 5MVA power station, wey dem upgrade from 2.5MVA, to improve steady light supply for ABSU and nearby areas.
He also hand over three retrofitted hostels (A, B & C) to make student living condition better.
Governor Otti still flag off construction of several new projects, including:
• 5,000-bed female hostel
• 5,000-bed male hostel
• Faculty of Agriculture and Faculty of Law buildings
• 1.8km internal road network
During the 30th–32nd combined convocation ceremony, Otti announce big opportunities for top-performing students.
He promise automatic lecturing jobs for all First-Class graduates as Graduate Assistants after their NYSC, alongside postgraduate scholarships up to PhD level for First-Class graduates in public universities across Nigeria.
The governor also reveal N200 million business grant wey go support about 100 graduates wey get innovative business ideas for areas like agriculture, ICT, and clean energy.
The announcement don generate excitement among students, as many see am as major step to improve education and create opportunities for young people for Abia State and beyond.
