Nigeria international Gift Monday played a key role in Costa Adeje Tenerife's 2-0 victory over Madrid CFF in the Spanish women's top flight on Saturday.

Monday set up Maria Perez for the opening goal and later scored the second goal herself, thanks to an assist from Perez. The goal was Monday's eighth in the league this season, and she also increased her assists to three.

The win moves Costa Adeje Tenerife to sixth place on the Spanish Liga F women's log with 23 points from 16 games. They will face Sevilla FC in their next league match on February 2, 2024.
