In a ceremony that underscored the evolving face of Nigeria’s law enforcement, Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, celebrated the promotion of her Chief Security Officer, Henry Okonlongwu, to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). The event took place during an official Decoration Ceremony, where Mrs. Ojukwu personally pinned the new rank emblem on the officer.

Expressing her admiration for DSP Okonlongwu and his professional qualities, Mrs. Ojukwu highlighted the emergence of a “new breed of police personnel” within the Nigeria Police Force (NPF). She commended officers like DSP Okonlongwu for being dynamic, charismatic, and sensitive to the challenges faced by Nigeria’s youthful population in their interactions with law enforcement.

“It is heartwarming to note that there exists within the NPF, a new breed of police personnel who are dynamic, professional, charismatic, youth-oriented, familiar with the challenges that Nigeria’s youthful population encounter with law enforcement on a daily basis, and determined to make a difference,” Mrs. Ojukwu remarked.

The Minister concluded her remarks by wishing DSP Okonlongwu God’s guidance and a bright future in his service to the nation. She also invited her friends and colleagues to join her in congratulating the newly promoted officer.
