Finalists have emerged in the inaugural edition of Okodochukwu Street Soccer Tournament sponsored by former Rangers midfielder and ex Super Eagles AFCON Winner, Ejike Uzoenyi, a project he embarked upon as a first step to giving back to the society, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

After weeks of exchange of football crossfire, Golden FC and Asata United FC have sealed their place in the tournament which had nine teams in contention from the start.

Golden FC outscored Black Stars 2-0 in their first semi final fixture decided at Afia 9 Square while Asata United edged Denver FC 4-3 in a seven-goal thrilling second semi final clash.

Exclusivenews.com.ng understands that the final will hold on Sunday,,3 September, 2023 with top football dignitaries on line for attendance.

Prominent amongst them include former Rangers and Super Eagles Captain and later coach, -Chairman- Christian Chukwu and newly appointed Enugu State,Commissioner for Sports, Lloyd Ekweremadu.

Uzoenyi called time on his trophies-laced glittering career a few months ago, just after the 2022/2023 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
