Samuel Eto'o, the president of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT), has been banned by FIFA for six months due to misconduct. The ban prevents Eto'o from attending any matches involving Cameroon's men's or women's teams across all categories during this period.

FIFA stated that Eto'o's actions violated Articles 13 and 14 of its disciplinary code. Article 13 pertains to offensive behavior and breaching the principles of fair play, while Article 14 addresses misconduct by players and officials.

In an official statement, FIFA said, "The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has sanctioned the President of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT), Samuel Eto'o, with a six-month ban from attending matches of Cameroonian representative teams for violation of Articles 13 and 14 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code."

Eto'o's ban is seen as a victory for his critics, who have long accused the Douala-born football legend of misconduct. His controversies include alleged match-fixing in the domestic league, for which he was cleared by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), and a partnership with a sports betting company that led to a €185,000 fine by CAF
