President Bola Tinubu ,has approved the Convocation of a National Youth Conference. This, he said is not  just a conference  but  a call to action, a chance for Nigeria's young people to take center stage and shape the future of their country.

The conference according to the President, would bring together young people from all walks of life, uniting them in a shared quest for a brighter tomorrow. For 30 days, they would engage in meaningful dialogue, tackling pressing issues like education, employment, innovation, security, and social justice. Their voices would be heard, and their aspirations would be at the heart of the conference's deliberations.

But this wasn't a one-off event - it was part of a broader vision to empower Nigeria's youth. The government was already implementing programs like the 3 million Technical Talents program (3MTT), aimed at building Nigeria's technical talent backbone ¹. The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) was providing cheap loans to students pursuing tertiary education, helping to level the playing field.

And later that month, the Renewed Hope Labour Employment and Empowerment Programme (LEEP) would be launch, aiming to create 2.5 million jobs annually while ensuring workers' welfare and safety. This was a comprehensive approach to addressing the challenges facing Nigeria's youth.

As President Tinubu spoke, his words resonated with the nation's young people. They were more than 60% of the population, and it was time their voices were heard. This conference was just the beginning - a chance for them to take ownership of their future and build a more inclusive, prosperous, and united Nigeria.

These initiatives marked a new era in Nigeria's development, one that put its young people at the forefront. As President Tinubu said, "We are Nigerians - resilient and tenacious. We always prevail and rise above our circumstances." The future looked bright, and Nigeria's youth were ready to lead the way.
