Festus Aghagbo Nwako Library, UNIZIK Set To Hold World Book Day Celebration and Maiden Public Lecture

The Festus Aghagbo Nwako Library, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka is set to hold her Maiden Public Lecture and World Book Day Celebration with the topic “Libraries and Information Institutions at Crossroads: Issues, Implications, and Imperatives in the Era of Change and Transformation”.
The event which will hold on Tuesday 29th April, 2025 from 10am at the University Auditorium will feature a public lecture, book exhibitions, world book day activities and interactive panel discussions.
The event which will be chaired by the Vice-Chancellor of the University on the Niger, Umunya, Prof. Chinedu Nebo has its speaker as Prof. Chinedu Omekwe from the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN). The Special Guests are Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, Hon. Commissioner for Education, Anambra State; High Chief Dr. Christopher Ndubuisi, an accomplished businessman and High Chief K. Nwachukwu, Special Adviser to Governor Soludo on ACTDA.
Royal Fathers of the Day are HRM Igwe Nnaemeka Achebe, Obi of Onitsha; HRM Igwe Joel Egwuonwu, the Traditional Ruler of Umuawulu Kingdom and HRM Igwe Augustine Oragwam, Traditional Ruler of Obeledu Community.
Chief Host is UNIZIK Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joseph Ikechebelu and Host is University Librarian, Prof. Ngozi Stella Anasi while the Chairman of Local Organizing Committee (LOC) is Prof. Oliver Onwudinjo.
