Nine-time Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) champions, Enyimba International FC, have announced the departure of their head coach, Olanrewaju Daniel Yemi, following a challenging run of form.

The club's hierarchy made the difficult decision after Enyimba went winless in their last nine matches, including league and continental competitions. Despite Yemi's contributions to the team, including a 3rd place finish in the 2023/24 NPFL season, the club felt a change was necessary to return to their winning ways.

In a swift move, Enyimba has appointed seasoned tactician Stanley Eguma as their new head coach. Eguma brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success, having previously served as part of Enyimba's coaching staff during their CAF Champions League triumphs.

Eguma's immediate task will be to stabilize the team and instill confidence among the players. With his deep understanding of the NPFL and tactical acumen, Eguma is a fitting choice to lead Enyimba during this critical phase.

As Eguma begins his tenure, fans will be eagerly watching to see if he can replicate the glory days and restore Enyimba's reputation as one of Africa's football powerhouses.
