The Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri is currently undergoing massive rehabilitation aimed at putting the facility in near-perfect condition ahead the coming 2024/2025 domestic topflight, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

The Stadium is the home ground of Heartland FC but had appeared unfriendly for quality football with The Naze Millionaires always finding it difficult to express themselves on the pitch in line with their 'Scientific Soccer' slogan.

But all that appear set to find a permanent place in the trash bin given the face work being carried out the pitch at the moment.

Checks reveal that grey areas of the pitch have been taken care of by way of 'regrassing' while blocked water pipes used in watering the pitch have been reopened and new ones installed as well.

More significantly, the floodlights at the Stadium located on Wetheral Road, in the heart of the Imo State capital, have been rehabilitated and are fully back to life.

This implies that the Stadium is now ready for 'Night Football' if and whenever the need arises in the coming season.

Heartland are reported to be be preparing for a new life in the NPFL in the coming season despite suffering their third relegation in history at the close of the 2023/2024 domestic season.

There're suggestions the Naze Millionaires are concluding take-over deal of the NPFL slot of newly promoted Beyond Limit FC, Ikenne, Ogun State.
