Ekwueme Hails Nwankwo Kanu, Enyimba Players, Coach Eguma, Over Victory In Yenagoa; Says 2025/2026 Season Target Achieveable

Enyimba of Aba Sporting Director, Ifeanyi Ekwueme, has heaped plaudits on the Nwankwo Kanu led management of the team following the People's Elephant''s emphatic 2-0 triumph over Bayelsa United in Sunday's NPFL Matchday 4 fixture at Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.
Ekwueme, a former Super Eagles midfielder, was particularly full of praises to the players and technical crew led by Stanley Eguma for a 'fantastic' performance in the away win.
Enyimba are unbeaten so far in the campaign. They have also posted clean sheets in the four games of the season.
Ekwueme reckons that the result in Yenagoa is a positive indication that the team's set objective for the season could be achieved.
"I commend the players. I most especially commend the technical adviser, Stanley Eguma for a good job. And I salute the chairman, Ambassador Nwankwo Kanu for the team's performances so far", Ekwueme began.
"It was a good performance in Yenagoa and kudos must also go to the management, the players and supporters of Enyimba.
"It wasn't an easy game in Yenagoa but the coach's tactical savvy was key to the success. The players also responded positively to his tactical plan and we had our supporters behind us all through the game.
"Yes, we haven't lost any game. We haven't also conceded, meaning we've kept clean sheets in the four games so far.
"We keep moving and working hard and by the grace of God, I believe we can realise our season's objectives going forward.
"We'll have to keep on working hard and remain focused. The coach is working hand-in-hand with the management and players. And our supporters are always there for us. So, this unity of purpose, I believe, can lead us to our season's ambition", Ekwueme posited.
