Egyptian-based Nigerian striker Okechukwu Nwanna has revealed that his biggest ambition is to represent Nigeria at any level of the national team in the nearest future.

 

The Telecom of Egypt forward disclosed this in an exclusive chat with Exclusive News from his base in Alexandria, where he reiterated his commitment to hard work and consistency as he pursues both club and international success.

 

Nwanna stated that his immediate focus is helping Telecom of Egypt achieve promotion to the Egyptian Premier League while continuing to push for recognition at the national level.

 

“They call me the Black Warrior here in Egypt, and I can’t wait to grab the opportunity to represent Nigeria and serve my country well,” he said.

 

The prolific striker believes the upcoming Egyptian FA Cup clash against Al Ahly could be a defining moment in his career. Telecom of Egypt are scheduled to face the Egyptian giants in the Round of 32 on the 27th, a match Nwanna describes as a major turning point.

 

“I’m calling my friends, family and football stakeholders to watch the match between Al Ahly and Telecom of Egypt in the Round of 32 of the Egyptian FA Cup. I can’t wait to make Nigerians proud in that match,” he added.

 

Okechukwu also revealed his personal ambitions for the season, noting that he is targeting the league’s top scorer award by the end of the campaign.

 

Reflecting on his career journey, the forward spoke about a missed opportunity to move to Europe earlier in his career.

 

“I was supposed to be in Norway in 2019, but due to injury I couldn’t make it there. The target still remains to play in Europe, but first I must do well with my present club and then move my career ahead,” he explained.
