Enyimba FC Technical Adviser, Stanley Eguma has expressed his disappointment over his teams inability to earn a league victory against Bayelsa United in Aba.

The People's Elephant on Sunday were forced to a 1-1 draw by "Restoration Boys" at the Enyimba Int'l Stadium, Aba in one of the match day 30 NPFL encounters decided across the nation.

Ekene Awazie's 7th minute strike was quickly cancelled by Ogba Ifeanyi's deflected short a minute after to ensure both sides shared the spoils as it ended in Yenegoa during the first stanza.

Reacting to the press after the encounter, Coach Eguma said his team prepared to win the game but unfortunately they couldn't get the desired resulted.

He however argued that his side had two penalty calls he felt should have been given to their advantage but noted that he wouldn't want to about the the referee.

"I really feel disappointed because it's a game we worked hard and planned to win but it's part of the game, some times you plan but get a different result.

"I think in the first half we had total control of the game, we had our chances, we took one and they had their and took it too.

"The highpoint of the game was the two penalty calls I feel should have been given, am really disappointed. But i don't want to talk about it to avoid being sanctioned.

On the way forward, Coach Eguma said they would regroup and prepare very well ahead of the next game against Remo Stars FC and try to go and get a positive result in Ikene.

"Well we have to work hard, it's another different ball game, we will do our best to see how we can get a good result because every game is important, we have to work for every point.

Meanwhile, Bayelsa United Coach, Ladan Bossom acknowledged that Enyimba is a big side as he gave kudos to his lads for being resilient in the game.

He said they tried to soak the pressure in the first half and only opened up the game after conceding which he said helped them to keep settle as the game went on 

The Aba giants next will be off to Ikene this midweek ahead of the rescheduled match day 31 encounter against league leaders, Remo Stars who would be looking fresh after their game against Lobi Stars in Enugu was postponed because two Remo keepers were on National duties.
