Nigeria Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) don begin investigate one man, Okorie Sunday, wey Nigeria Customs Service catch for Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, with $578,000. Di suspect, Okorie Sunday, arrive from Johannesburg, South Africa, on Wednesday, and declare $279,000 for Currency Declaration Desk, but Customs officials later discover say him hide additional $299,000 for separate packages, making di total undeclared amount $578,000. Dem also find €100 and one fake $250 note wey him hide. 

EFCC Acting Zonal Director for Lagos, Ahmed Ghali, talk say dem appreciate Customs for dia cooperation, and emphasize say inter-agency collaboration dey important. "We dey here to take over one passenger from South Africa wey falsely declare di cash him carry enter Nigeria," Ghali talk. 

Ghali warn Nigerians to declare any amount above $10,000 when dem enter or leave Nigeria, to avoid money laundering. "We no go permit any action wey go sabotage di economy or financial system, as dis kind conduct dey increase di risk of money laundering and economic instability," Ghali talk.
