In a heartwarming display of community support, the ECN Foundation’s Abuja-FCT branch extended a helping hand to underprivileged students by paying school fees for 35 pupils across four public schools in Kuje and Kwali Area Councils on September 25, 2025.

 

The charitable gesture is part of the foundation’s ongoing commitment to promoting education and easing the financial burden on struggling families. Beneficiary schools included Junior Secondary School Chukuku and LEA Primary School Chukuku in Kuje Area Council, as well as Junior Secondary School Bako and LEA Primary School Bako in Kwali Area Council.

 

At Junior Secondary School Chukuku, students received fee payments covering a full academic year. The principal of the school expressed deep appreciation, describing the initiative as “life-changing.”

 

“Many of our pupils face significant financial challenges, and this support from the ECN Foundation is a huge relief,” he said. “It will encourage these students to remain in school and focus on their studies.”

 

At LEA Primary School Chukuku, the foundation paid one year’s school fees for 10 pupils. The headmistress lauded the initiative, emphasizing its long-term impact on the students’ lives.

 

“We are very grateful for this timely intervention,” she remarked. “The future of these children is brighter because of ECN Foundation’s generosity. We hope this act of kindness will inspire other organizations to support education in our community.”

 

In Kwali Area Council, Junior Secondary School Bako also benefited, with 10 students receiving school fee payments for one term. The school’s principal noted the importance of the donation.

 

“This is a major boost for our school and the community at large,” he said. “These funds will help ten of our most vulnerable students stay in school. It is an investment in the future leaders of our nation.”

 

At LEA Primary School Bako, 10 more pupils had their fees fully paid for one academic year. The headmaster expressed heartfelt gratitude to the foundation.

 

“This support is invaluable,” he commented. “It removes a major obstacle for these young learners and gives them the opportunity to complete their primary education without worry.”

 

The visit concluded with a reaffirmation of the ECN Foundation’s dedication to educational support and broader community development efforts in the Federal Capital Territory.
