The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) don uncover one sharp method wey drug traffickers dey use — hiding cocaine and tramadol inside 71 vehicle side mirrors wey dey head go Libreville, Gabon, through Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Ikeja.

 

According to NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi, dem first discover the shipment on July 19, wey carry 57,420 tramadol 225mg pills and 57 cocaine pellets weighing 1.60kg. The drugs dey packed inside cargo booked with Air Côte d’Ivoire.

 

One popular cargo agent, Ihekweme Osinachi Benedict, na the first wey dem arrest. The next day, Uzochukwu Godspower Chukwurah join am for handcuff. Before her arrest, two cargo agents already don land inside NDLEA net. Nneka later confess say she and her husband, Remigus Nwafor, wey still dey on the run, na dem dey run the drug business.

 

Abuja Riders Caught with Canadian Loud

 

For Abuja, NDLEA officers nab three dispatch riders on July 30 — Sabo Sule (24), Samuel Nnamdi (28), and Idris Jibrin (28) — with 149.8g of Canadian Loud, one strong type of cannabis. The arrest happen during stop-and-search operations for Gwarimpa, Jahi, and Galadimawa.

 

On August 2, along Abaji-Gwagwalada Expressway, NDLEA catch Aliyu Abubakar (25) and Adekunle Agbabiaka (30) with 91.1kg of skunk. Also for Lagos, Joseph Michael carry 3.3kg of Colorado (synthetic cannabis) in Mushin, while Ibrahim Sulaiman get 16.5 litres of skuchies for Yaba on August 1.

• Benue: Hussein Yusuf (37) caught with 100,000 tramadol capsules on August 1 at Vandeikya-Ogoja checkpoint.

• Edo: NDLEA recover 233.5kg of skunk from one warehouse in Ekpoma, arrest suspect William Alabi (44).

• Borno (Maiduguri Airport): Umar Aminu (38) nabbed with 160 tramadol pills hidden inside shoes.

• Ogun: Yahaya Aminat Seyi caught with 7,218 opioid pills during raid in Oja Odan.
