Ebuka Ukachukwu emerged hero of the evening after his brace helped Ozalla Football Academy beat All Stars FC (People's Club) 2-0 in the Monday's final of the 4th edition of Chike World Best Football Competition in Awada Obosi, near Onitsha, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

Ozalla FA have dominated the tournament since its inception in 2021, winning the trophy three times while All Stars have claimed the trophy once.

Rampant Ebuka opened his day's account early in the game, heading home a cross from the left hand channel in the 6th minute. He completed his brace in the second period, converting a spot kick after an All Star defender was adjudged to have handled the ball inside the area.

It proved a crowning glory for the Ozalla FA who lost 0-1 to Flying Horse in the Remmy Uch Unity Cup semi final but consoled themselves with the bronze following a 1-0 win against Eleven Teachers FC in the third place match.

Coach Ukwa was delighted with his team's win on Monday, saying he was particularly thrilled because his players adhered strictly to pre match instruction.

"Yes, I'm happy we won. But I'm more happier because the boys played exactly how we wanted them to play. It's quite unlike what happened in our semi final match in the Remmy Uche Unity Cup.

"The maintained their confidence, shape and showed mastery of putting the ball on the ground and thus is what we've always practised", Coach Ukwa.

Tournament sponsor, Chief Chike Nwoyeka, was full of happiness over the success of the final game.

He hinted that he was motivated to keep sponsoring the tournament out of his determination to provide an enabling platform for youths to Horne their skills.

"I once played at this stage. Though we may not have had such opportunity but I feel its important to give back to the society in my own little way.

"I love the performance of the two teams we've just watched. But I promise next year's edition will be better than this because I will keep on sponsoring the tournament because its what I love doing and football is my passion", Nwoyeka said.
