The 10th edition of the Dreamland Abia State and Embassy of Hungary Cup kicked off in style at the Enyimba Stadium on Saturday. The opening day saw six thrilling games, a  hat-trick and a brace. 

The first game of the day was between G-Innovation Football Club of Lagos and Dreamland Academy of Ukwa, Abia State. It was the boys from Ukwa who got the tournament to a flying start with a 3-0 victory. Striker, Henry Ikenna Clems was the hero as he got a hat-trick in 20 minutes. 

In the second game of the day, Raw Talent FC of Aba lost 1-2 to New Generation from Umuahia. The Umuahia boys scored twice through Odoemelam Pope and Austin Harrison but Raw Talent halved the deficit when Chijioke Onwubiko rounded the goalkeeper before slotting home. 

Enyimba's U18 team had a good start too as they beat Buberio FC 2-0, courtesy of Uchechukwu Agada's brace. The victory sends them to the top of group B. 

The other games saw Donastar FC draw 0-0 with Benson FC while Inter Aba beat Abia Warriors U18 2-0, courtesy of goals from Chinwekene Ubani and Clinton Akachi. Phantom Eagles wrapped up the day with a 1-0 victory over Uchecharia FC. Achi Kaosisochukwu's strike in the 28th minute was the winner. 

The games resume on Monday at the stadium, as the teams will play their second group games of the tournament.
